How is APT different from other fertilizers?Updated 2 months ago
Compared to conventional fertilizers, APT 3 is:
3X more concentrated for demanding species*
2X more nitrate limiting for richer colours^
The planted aquarium hobby traces its roots to fish-focused aquariums in the 1970s. Conventional fertilisers were developed for (and continue to serve) hobbyists looking to supplement fish tanks with hardy plants.
Conversely, APT was developed for today's planted aquariums. Its proprietary Capstone nutrient formulation factors in current tank environments, with today's new plant hybrids and evolving light and CO2 technologies. It has been tested to bring out richer colors and stronger growth in the most demanding aquatic plants.
Nitrate limitation brings out deeper reds in many plant species. [Rotala 'blood red SG' grown with APT 3]
Comprehensive formula allows optimal growth and coloration across many species. [Tank above grown with APT aquasoil and APT 3]
Tested on bringing out optimal form and coloration in demanding species. [Hygrophila sp Chai grown with APT 3]
Maximum algae control for hardscape focused tanks. [6 month old Iwagumi above, grown in with APT 1 and APT aquasoil]
*in terms of total soluble elemental fertiliser per ml.
^in terms of the relative ratio of nitrogen vis a vis other nutrients per ml.
