How is APT JAZZ different from osmocote?Updated a month ago
Osmocote is a brand of terrestrial fertiliser that some aquarists use as a DIY root fertiliser. Most brands are not designed to be permanently submerged even though their labels often claim that their release rates are not affected by moisture levels. In tests, the majority of terrestrial osmocote brands release their contents quickly (in a couple of weeks) when the pellets are submerged. This leads to nutrient spikes in ammonia and other nutrients.
APT JAZZ was specially designed for the aquatic environment, and slow releases its content across many months.
Having a stable nutrient delivery system allows us to keep water column nutrient levels lean - and consequently hardscape in the tank remains spotless long term.
